Fresh from last week's solid defensive display on their travels at West Yorkshire rivals Dewsbury Rams, Rovers were on the road again, heading up north for what was expected to be the toughest test of the season to date, under lights at Craven Park, the home of title rivals and current Championship holders Barrow Raiders.
With the starting 17 begining to look a little more settled now and some good defensive displays over the last few weeks a good performance in Cumbria would surely set the 2010 Championship alight.
Producing a tremendous team performance, Rovers kept the pressure on the home side for long periods and in keeping a watchful eye on former favourite Jamie Rooney kept last seasons 'Champions' off the scoreboard for over an hour.
An early try from Jon Steel, a fantastic disciplined defensive effort, 6 goals form the boot of Kyle Briggs and a late try from Liam Finn capped a great night for those in the red and white of Featherstone tonight !
A must have in your Rovers 2010 DVD collection... a performance and a team to be proud of... and a result sure to set the Championship on fire.......
