Rovers take the field to kick off their 2010 League campaign fresh from the midweek N.R.C. victory over Rochdale.
With some good performances earlier in the week and a couple of injuries in both the forwards and backs - the side this week had a little bit of a different look about it.
A home League debut for Michael Cody and a changed half-back combination gave followers of the Blue and White plenty to ponder on.
As it turned out a superb, very efficient defensive performance saw Rovers take a well deserved 24-0 lead at half time, keeping the visitors on the back foot for most of the first half, and despite an improved second half showing from the Bulldogs the result was never in doubt as Rovers put in a much improved performance to take the spoils 36-10.
